PDF Thumbnail Generator is an interesting tool that creates thumbnail galleries of your PDF files and, once created, inserts them into the PDF itself to link each one together.
The thumbnail images can be in BMP, JPG or even EMF (Encapsulated Meta File). Once you have created the thumbnails and embedded them into the PDF, you can see them in any PDF viewer (like Adobe Reader, for example), and they will appear to the left of the document and link from there.
The PDF Thumbnail Generator user can decide if they want to show the thumbnails or not when the PDF is opened. It is also totally free.
